I was only trying to help!

Here's how to turn a drapery panel into a slip cover:
(According to Mom, a few years ago)

Let the cat out. Remove hems from drape. Let the cat in.
Lay drape on chair. Remove cat from drape on chair.
Take drape off chair. Remove cat from chair.
Place drape on chair wrong side out.
Pin and cut, till drape fits chair just right, on one side.
Remove cat from chair. Mark seam lines with pencil.
Remove drape from chair.
Remove what pins the cat has not already removed for you.
Fold fabric, lay it on floor, and cut other side to match.
Throw cat outside. Close the door. Sew up cover.
Let cat in. Close door. Try cover on chair. Remove cat.
Put cat out. Close door. Restitch finishing touches.
Ignore cat swearing outside.
Make pillow for chair. Correction: for the cat. Give up.

Leave door open. Freeze while dressing for work.
>^..^<........)
Accept purring cat on chair pillow as approval.

Aw, Shucks, snow!

A good day to sit by the window and watch for the birds at the feeder.
Mom made a watercolor painting out of this picture.

A little hung over....

If Sabrina would clean up her plate when she's fed, I wouldn't have to eat hers, too!

Merry Christmas to all from us...Spot and Sabrina.

Puppies are sooooooo messy! I don't know why people like 'em so much!

Nap time (again). Mom was sitting in the middle when we snuggled up beside her.
Happy New Year, to all!

Let Sleeping Cats Lay

The low pressure and rainy days of Tropical Storm Lee make me sleepy. Or is it that I live such a low-pressure life?

Wicket, the ruler of the house next door has been visiting while her servants are away this whole past month. She has usurped the housekeeper's bed, much to the dismay of Sabrina, who protests in no uncertain terms, and retreats to her second favorite 'nap-sack', Mom's wicker chair.

The say let sleeping dogs lay. The same applies for cats.
If you don't, you will be scolded.
You may get a real tongue-lashing....
 ....at best, a 'razz-berry'.!!

Gees, what part of 'I'm sleeping' do they not understand?
